To Be or Not To Be A "Jackass"

36-hours later and MTV viewers remain outraged with rapper Kanye West outburst at the 2009 MTV VMA’s at Radio City Hall on Sunday, with his spur-of-the-moment decision to run onstage and interrupt country singer Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, grabbing her mic and announcing his belief that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” deserved the award instead.

Criticism poured in all over the internet from Twitter to Face Book and numerous blog sites, but Mr. West outburst earned him a slap on the backside when President Barack Obama, during a CNBC interview yesterday, called West a “jackass” for crashing the stage.

President Obama made the “jackass” comment about West “off the record” from the interview, however, CNBC Presenter Terry Moran Tweeted Obama’s comment later deleting the comment.

A remorseful West appeared on "The Jay Leno Show" yesterday, delivering a public apology to Taylor Swift, following his onstage outburst at Sunday's Video Music Awards.

"It was just very rude, period, I'd like to apologize to her in person," West said.

Was West actions on Sunday, action of a Jackass or bad judgment?

I think he is entitled to his own opinion, but it was absolutely horrible timing. They say you only get fifthteen minutes of fame and Kanye stole about three from her.
