Beyonce: I Am..Concert at MSG


If a Diva is Female version of a hustler, then Beyonce is Pop music’s hottest high-priced, having thousands of fans pack-out Madison Square Garden in NYC to see the "Ego" singer and her sensual alter ego Sasha Fierce kick off the first U.S. stop of her highly anticipated worldwide, "I Am "Tour.

Beyonce gave fans a two-hour production, opening the show with dimmed lights, black curtains parting as smoke emerged, a spot light illuminated on Beyonces curvy silhouette, dressed in a Thierry Mugler signature glittery gold costume, a huge bow on her backside, Beyonce belted out the first verse to "Déjà vu," the band transitioned to “Crazy in Love,” and along came hair swinging and booty shaking, Beyonce gliding on stage, as the band integrated to "I just want to love ya (Give it to me), Jay-z strode on stage performing the first verse to “Give to me,” Beyonce glanced at her hubby, as they both blushed at one another and Jay-z disappeared, leaving the fans in a frenzy.

Breezing through songs like “Naughty Girl,” “Freaked Dress” and “Get Me Bodied,” Beyonce gave a breath taking performance as she sang “Smash into you,” dressed in all white as blue waves crashed behind her on stage, shortly after, her dancers immediately pieced together a white-wired wedding dress On Beyonce as she sang Ave Maria, shifting into Sarah McLachlans “Angel,” leaving the crowd awe.

After an on screen rivalry, Sasha officially takes over the show, suspended in the air on wires, gliding through the crowd with acrobatic flips to Baby Boy. Later, appearing in a rock star mode, wearing another Thierry Mugler signature black leather dress and black Dereon shades, crotch-grabbing and singing If I Were a Boy, and then angrily belching out the chorus to Alanis Morissette You Oughta Know.

As the concert progressed, it was jam-packed with a variety of movie clips and extraordinary dance choreography, and a dance break spanning Beyonces career. Later, a clip with a montage of fan made Single Ladies videos, featuring appearances by Barak Obama and Justin Timberlake. Beyonce closed the concert with Halo as she announced to New York softly, I AM yours descending from the stage holding up the Roc-A-Fella sign.
